His Last Storm
The wicked wild wind is blowing,
Trees they bend and break,
Nails come loose the floorboards groaning,
Wow look at the lake,
Water churning shoreline foaming,
Flashlight beams they shake,
Mother nature done condoning,
Bravery that's fake,
Their faces in the candlelight,
Veils thrown over fear,
They stay up late into the night,
Darkness pioneers,
Cast in glowing orange and white,
Exploring time's frontiers,
They clash against the wind's great might,
The kids they persevere,
Finally the winds relent,
The children they have won,
Their sleepy eyes the night had lent,
Are greeted by the sun,
Frying bacon what a scent,
Chocolate pancakes done,
Mother nature left her dent,
Where's the youngest one?
