The Puppy Dog
You’re instantly drawn to him.
 He’s physically attractive,
 But it’s his personality
That keeps you seeking his company.
 He’ll loyally follow you anywhere.
He’ll hug and kiss you until
You can’t possibly be sad anymore.
He tells you of his past
And you want to take all his pain away.
You can’t bear to see him cry.
 He’s half puppy dog
 And half jerk.
 But you love it
Because it gives him the confidence
That drew you in the first place.
He graciously accepts the role of
 “Boy Toy”—and wears it well.
You want him by your side
 Through everything.
 You worry when he’s gone.
