You came into my life,
A stranger.
Yet here you are,
My best friend,
Singing me lullabies,
Whispering you love me.
These people come and go,
Empty promises of staying.
And here you are,
Still here.
You have heard me cry
And curse the Earth,
While others flee
To save themselves,
You are still here
Loving me.
