Goodbye, never forever

Goodbye is never forever,

there will be tomorrow,

there will be a dawn,

goodbye is not forever.

With every life,

there is death;

with every hello,

there is goodbye.

This is not the end,

but the beginning,

this is not the beginning,

but the end.

Wipe away your tears,

it's the turning of a page,

the flipping of a chapter,

but you'll be in my heart.

Goodbye is never forever,

there will be tomorrow,

there will be a dawn,

goodbye is not forever.

There will be tears,

there will be broken hearts,

there will be goodbyes,

but there's still tomorrow.

Pages are flipping,

this book is turning,

this train is roaring,

the lion's getting on.

Broken hearts can heal,

scars an all mend,

cookies they all crumble

but there are other fish in the sea.

If you truly love me,

you'll let me go,

because in your heart,

you will know...

Even if it takes years...

Even if it takes weeks...

Even if it takes forever...

this will not be goodbye.

We will meet again,

whether in this life,

or the next,

you never know.

So you let go,

and hold on,

but we always

must know...

This is not goodbye,

there will be tomorrow.

A dawning sun

to end this darkness.

Or a darkness to end this light,

there will be tears,

and there will be broken hearts,

but this, is not, goodbye.

Goodbye, never forever.

I wrote this piece before a long move, and for the first time, I still had friends to fall back on. I was feeling especially melancholy, and picked up a pen, and the words just came.
