As one girl falls
Another rises.
This one is the meanest of them all.
More and more flock under her command.
More and more fall in her reign.

One girl stands out.
Now she is the target.
They surround her like a pack of wolves.
And she is the elk.
One more to fall defeated in her reign.

This girl has succeeded.
To become the most feared.
They move out of her way,
And avoid her contact.
For they do not want to become her next victim.

Glowing with power,
This girl has succeeded.
To become the most hated
Because, as one girl falls,
Another girl rises.

The social dynamic among middle school girls, as well as my personal experience in 7th grade, is what inspired me to write this piece of poetry.
