Teenagers
My mind is falling apart
little silver pieces falling outward.
As I watch unfazed girls strut
with bulging stomachs from growing up too fast.
And soon I keep hearing
one particular girl
with orange hair and brown skin
crying over a bloody tile floor
weeping that it had eyes
and fingernails.
And silently she will start to die
and watch as part of her she gave up
spiral away
dead flesh apart from her too soon.
And they repeat the vicious cycle.
