Rendezvous with Death
Cold yet warm
Welcoming those who hear its call.
Its colors will change,
From silver to red.
Feeding off of the life,
Of those who wish they were dead.
And somehow bringing them back to life
Again.
Red drips fall
Onto the floor
Along with the pain
The sorrow
The hurt
The unexplainable feeling
That comes with being alive.
The unexplainable feeling
That makes her wish
She could die.
She rendezvous with death
In the middle of the night.
Just so she can see
If she’s still alive.
Never going all the way
Deciding that its best to stay
Alive.
So she can rendezvous with death
for one more day.
