I Am...
I am lonely
Lonely like the soft rain that falls from the man in the moon’s face
Lonely like the water going gently, gently into the sewer
Lonely like the clouds, roaming, roaming with nowhere to go
I am lonely
I am angry
Angry as a fly waiting to die after its short life
Angry like a stray dog who can’t find food
Angry like the thunder rolling in, only to hear cries
I am angry
I am sad
Sad like a newborn, sick and dying
Sad as a puddle, getting stepped in and not feeling pain
Sad like every person who had their dreams crushed
I am sad
I am
Am happy as a boy who received a puppy
Am lonely like dew on the Sunday morning grass
Am sad like your favorite shirt that doesn’t fit anymore
Am all these things, but I can’t find who…
I am
