Junior Olympic Hurdle Race
I am poised at my blocks ready to explode out
The rain pricking my bare arms and legs
The track is glistening from the rain
The smell of rain and grass surrounds me
I felt my nerves building inside of me
The hurdles stare me down daring me to go over them
BANG!
We explode out of the blocks like a shotgun shell
The race began so there no more time to worry about what's going on
The first hurdle was approaching quickly
The crowd echoing around me as I reached the second hurdle
The hurdles were coming quicker and quicker
Over the 3..4..5..6..7..8
I was in a sprint to the finish line
Alone out in front
I was the leaning tower of pisa as I cross the finish line
I taste the victory
I won!
