Do you cry at night?
Hear whispers in the blowing wind?
Shhhh. Concentrate.
The flowers in the meadow sway,
back and forth,
back and forth.
Breathe and think.
Rocking chairs creek,
musty wood takes over and swirls around you.
Feel it closing in
crushed, compacted, squeezed.
A baby cries,
block it out and push it away.
Shhhh. Concentrate.
In the wind she calls you,
follow her callings,
away, go away.
Walk
go through the rushing river,
it calms you, swallowing your legs
starting from the bottom, going up,
from your toes to your
ankles,
calves,
thighs.
Walk fast or you’ll drift,
gone.
Eyes closed, no peeking.
Moonlight guides your soul through the unknown,
darkness is repelled, and you follow,
just follow.
Shhhh. Concentrate.
STOP.
Open your eyes and take in the beauty.
Do not swallow,
it’s poison.
When being tempted,
don’t listen.
Snakes can never be trusted.
Shhhh. Concentrate.

I hope people will understand that this poem was inspired by the Bible story of Adam and Eve, and the "you" that I refer to in this poem is Adam the wind or "she" is Eve.
