One day, somebody I shall be.
With the skills of Poe,
And the fame of Twain.
I will be unstoppable,
Churning out poetry
Left and right.
Nary a nap in between.
Fame and fortune,
Thy come at a cost.
One day, poets like me
Shall forever be gone.
But we will all live on.

The author's comments:
This is an older poem I did about being a poet and about how we are mortal but our works are immortal.
