Snow Days
As he walks outside,
He can feel snow fall gently on his cheek.
He can see his breath when he breathes.
He feels the snow crunching under his feet.
His lips are so chapped,
He can feel them begging for moisture.
Looking around,
All he sees is bright white snow.
Hope fills my heart for a snow day.
He smiles to himself,
As he watches his golden retriever playing in the snow,
Molly couldn't be happier it seemed.
He called her over,
She skips over happily.
As he looks up into the starry night sky,
He feels at peace with everything.
