I'm trying to be you
You are trying to be her.
No one with a real clue.
Caught up in your image life can become a real blur.
Don't toot your own horn, just go with the flow,
Because all it takes is originality to be cool.
It can be as simple as a little hello.
Can you remember your first day of school?
Back when you met that one kid,
That you were friends with before you even knew.
It wasn't anything special you did,
Except being yourself, true blue, through and through.
