Negative
Pummelling through the dark night
Hands steady gaze fixed
I act like a mad scientist
As I dissect what you just said
Can’t really help it
Since you talk in negatives.
This photographic film
Is too delicate for my rough hands
And yet I’m trying to rise up to your expectations
I need you to believe
That I get your true colours
And I don’t get lost in your words a lot,
But I really do, sometimes I make the wrong picture
With my tear laden eyes
And spoil your whole film
Ivory to gray, gray to black
Oh how I wish I was better.
