Two Years
We met almost two years ago,
at a silly festival,
on a hot August night.
Never, in my life, had I imagined
feeling something so magical.
Your blue eyes shinned in all the lights
from all the silly rides,
that we said we didn't want to ride
(even though I really did)
But,
the memories of that night
are like vivid dreams.
but, they don't only happen at night,
but, also during the daytime.
And when I look up at the sky,
it always seems to be the color of blue
that looked best on you.
But, even you always seemed to turn
even the bluest skies,
a dark dark grey.
And throughout these two years,
you became an expert at sorry.
You had always promised me a forever,
to turn around and just break me
all over again.
Clever trick, my darling.
Clever trick.
