Imagine That...

Imagine something,
Something so small, but so very strong,
Can handle whatever haunts the back of the mind,
Smiling to cover up the frown that should be there instead,
Climbing up the tall mountains of worries,
Fighting, fighting the "what ifs"
And not confronting reality,
Running away from the insecurities that lust after powerful thoughts,
Yet still staying so very strong
Imagine that,
Imagine that all those things were wrong,
Tolerating so much with help from benedictions,
Conquering whatever comes your way to find,
To find the true beauty of life that lies ahead,
Marching past issues that are now dust flurries,
Fighting, fighting with strength to lift
And burn away negativity
Sprinting towards happiness that seeks
After the beautiful, beautiful soul,
Yet standing tall, but still so small
Finally you ask,
What's that small, brave thing you're imagining?
A toy soldier of you!

The author's comments:
A song called toy soldier inspired me to write this poem. I stopped writing, but I decided to start back and I wanted this to be the first poem that I write again and hopefully the second poem of mine that I could have publish in something worldwide. I've also wanted to write a poem about a girl "me" and my mental/physical characteristics that I used to have and ones that I am striving for.
