Frozen in Time
If I could trust myself, and trust these tired feet of mine; I’d walk to you, but I just can’t.
These feet won’t move.
I’m stuck here, frozen in time.
Like in quicksand, I’m sinking, yet everyone around me is walking; unaware of these afflictions masked by an outward smile of mine.
Everything surrounding me is changing, yet I can’t seem to grasp a hold of time and let it carry me along.
Stuck in this one moment, all I need is to pause the clock and let time stop just long enough for me to catch up.
I just need to catch up to you, to where you are.
But you’ve gotten so far ahead, and these feet won’t move.
So many miles away, please, just wait for me.
