The Tugging
Mommy always told me,
To be nice to the elderly
I once saw a beautiful flower
And I remembered the old lady
That lived next door
The Angel told me to pick the flower
But the Devil told me to leave it
So I left the flower
It turns out the women was allergic
Mommy did always tell me
To be nice to the elderly
Mommy always told me,
Money was very important
I once saw a poor beggar man
Asking for money
So he could buy food and clothes
The Angel told me to spare a few dollars
But the Devil told me to keep walking.
So I kept walking
Mommy did always tell me
That money was very important
Mommy always told me,
To be nice to people
I saw a girl crying yesterday
Sitting by herself
Along the curb next to the park
The Angel told me to stop and talk to her
But the Devil told me to mind my own business
Mommy did always tell me
To be nice to people
But the devil was tugging
So I kept walking.
The next morning
Mommy told me about the girl
She was gone
She was gone all because I didn’t stop
I didn’t stop
Because I listened to the Devil
