My heart bleeds
But it's not my own
I am stone
I am stone.

I burn with love
That can't be shown
I'm alone
I'm alone.

In the sea of solitude
I am sure to drown
Yet on the shores of love
I wish to be found.

Mesh my fingers
when I'm dead
This empty space
won't let me rest

Wake me up
With a prayer of above
Wake me up
If you ever bring love

I am stone

The author's comments:
First piece on Teen Ink. I was inspired by Frankenstein and a song from Phantom of the Opera, and basically improved on a piece I wrote almost a year back. I am open to positive criticism.
