Diana and the Moon
The light of the moon is barley visible through the tops of the trees.
Yet I feel her presence here next to me.
She softly whispers in my ear to stand up.
"You can't give up child," she says.
The delicate touch of her hand links around my arm.
She rises up off of the forest floor taking me with her.
I glance at the goddess in front of me,
Long black hair flies behind her like a raven.
Her eyes are the color of moonstones that shine brightly in the dim forest.
A single bow is draped around her body.
She leans in and kisses my forehead.
Opening my eyes, I see she is gone.
I look up at the moon and its light guides me home.
