Favorite Quote:
A dead man once told me, "To thine own self be true."

A slight breeze made the leaves tremble
As the sky darkened in hue

And the ocean bubbled and frothed on the shore
As the sun disappeared from view

The sand’s sparkle began to diminish
While the palm tree continued to sway

And everything faded, in brightness and color
But the palm tree?
The palm tree would remain

Darkness took hold of the sun in the sky
And the sea turned from blue to teal

Yellow no more was the sand underfoot
And the Black sky overhead was unreal

Alone stood the palm tree shining as green as before
But with all of its neighbors gone

Shunning it our of their world
And forcing it into a dark, dull void

Though they were close, the palm tree was left
In a place void of companions

Void of laughter and all good things
As well as voices and banter

Left to laugh by itself, wondering why it deserved this
And where it went wrong.
