The Football Game
It has begun.
We huddle up ready to play the Spartans,
 We listen to the play.
 We line up.
 The snap of the ball,
The tramping of feet as we dance like bears,
 The play goes into action.
 Bodies colliding together,
Like cars in a car crash.
As the runner rolls around the line,
 The smell of sweat.
 The roaring of the crowd.
The sight of the clock counting down,
As we score the winning points against Sparta,
This is the big game of the year.
