Downpour
I sneak under
 the droplets.
 My head an empty basket
 stuffed in an over-sized coat.
 I want to break through
 the waves.
 The raindrops falling falling
 down my face.
 It’s all there.
 Each face, fingertip,
 Each living breath
 consumed.
I can hear the heart beat.
 The Earth calling
 through the clear water,
 jump in.
