Love is a daffodil
Small seedling
Growing slow and sure
Eventually blossoming
Beautiful, yellow, happy
Spreading joy to others
But eventually
There are holes, rips
Little bugs of lies
Bugs of hurt
Betrayal
The life begins to fade
Withering away slowly
Until there is nothing left
