Why Do You Do This
Fiction
Why Do You Do This?
Why do you do this to me?
Distracting me from what is imperative,
and blinding me from the verity.

like a buzzing mosquito in mid-July.
You are a boulder that stands in my way
of success and happiness.
Procrastination,
one of these days
I will dodge your obstacles
and achieve my goals.
Though escape from your clutches
will be deleterious and demanding,
I will be in a place of tranquility
as you diminish from my sight.
So leave me be
and let me experience a life
where I do not end up in an extreme frenzy,
so I can finally finish my-
