Barely breathing, I'm
empty of hope, lost
from love,empty of life

Chained down to the depth of death
Blowing bubbles, puckered lips
Chocking up in the depth of death

A sight that takes my breath away,
so much wanted by some, so much longing to stay

But if I never would have lurched for that sight-that sight that took my breath away-it wouldn't have been my last sight and that's not alright

I wanted to experience all the riches and aches, all the pains for gods sake!

and

not to lose that feeling of life on a mere pretty sight

So life, don't take my breath away

please,

Let it stay

Just a quick poem I came up with when I was thinking of the quote "Life is not measured by breaths we take, but by the breaths it takes away"
