I am from Pennsylvania

and Denmark
I am from keeping a positive attitude
I am from History class

and all that it has to tell

I am from English class

but Science and Math never worked out
I am from tests bringing down my grades

and getting bad reviews on my writing
I am from learning with my hands

and working with my peers

I am from always traveling to new places

And dancing to get away from it all
I am from Mrs. Davis, who believed in me

and Mrs. Knapp, who knew I was capable, and pushed me there
I am from a love for learning

but not the work

I am from discovering who I am

and striving to succeed
