Not a day goes by
when I don't think about you
Not a moment passes without missing you
Your presence finds a way to fill me
Without you, hollowness forms.
Not a night passes
without tears
Not a second slips by
without you name haunting
Your absence finds it way through me.
I call your name
through the dark
But receive no response
I listen for your footsteps
but they never belong to you
I mutter one last time
Hoping for you
Dad.
