The Diet
Here I sit watching T.V
Couldn’t think of a better lazy strategy
My thirst begins to rumble
Stomach growling, sounds rise as it grumbles
But hey, Im not getting up its too dark
I wouldn’t, even if I heard my dog bark
I try and sum up the courage to go downstairs
But soon comes my mom with her rattling hairs
She beings to yell, and how so loud that was
She asks why I’m still upstairs and I answer just cuz
Her glaring look
It looked as if her eyes almost shook
But as those eyes turned more and more red
I finally found the strength to get off my bed
So on I go making my way down each step
I soon begin to feel the desire for a tasty crepe
I make all the way, and here i am
At the fridge I open with a bam!
Then there sits that tasty crepe
I pick it up but cannot take that next step
I set it back down, full of pride
Happy with the choice I chose to abide
I turn my cheek and there sits some healthy fruit
I don’t want to eat some, but come on its so minute
I take that first bite questioning who would want to buy it
And then I remember, sadly, that i’m on a diet.
