love and hate
How can you see through these eyes.
Deep down, true soul, mystified.
Deep within, my heart is left with sharp pins.
Inside my beating heart, my world is torn apart.
My mind wonders but my mouth does not speak,
my tongue tastes only what is meant for the weak.
Ears listening sharp to what others think,
hoping that I am using the right ink.
Drowning in insecurities,
need someone to whisper I am pretty.
Yet you stand by my side,
while I wonder if this is a white lie.
Suffering with pain for many days,
from the cause of things that but have the smallest weight.
Let me free of this misery or stand by me lovingly.
The choice you have made, I hope you regret it not,
because you have lit up my heart.
Keep me firm between your grasp all day all night,
because you might not know,
but your soul is my only shining light.
Your touch feels so right,
your eyes sparkle at night.
Oh shining armor Knight,
hold me, oh hold me tight tonight.
