Color Coded

January 10, 2014
By Anonymous

My skin is light;
therefore I am better.
I am normal and I am free,
my skin has rescued me.

My skin is dark;
therefore I am below
the rest.
I am mistreated,
I am a slave.
My skin has imprisoned me.

I am human,
regardless of my color.
I deserve life,
I deserve freedom.

I am the same,
in every single way,
except for one:
my coloring.
