Yourself

Be a blue rose,
Not a painted one.
Be the flying colors,
Not the hovering ones.

Be the honest person,
Not the dazzling costume.
Be the real fire,
Not the mere fumes.

Be the rebellious rebel,
Not the silent stand still.
Be the mountainous mountain,
Not the quiet hill.

Be the red painted with red,
Not the sheets covering the dead.
Be the spoken out,
Not the unsaid.

Be the ringing bell,
Not the prison cell.
Be the magic spell,
Upon the broken carousel.

Be blue rose,
Not a painted one,
Thorns and all.
