Number 2
As he approaches the plate,
He realizes what he needs to do.
Even with the weight of the world on his shoulders,
He remembers he proudly wears Number 2
It’s more than just a number
He earned that through
Tough work and still
He remembers he proudly wears Number 2
So much going through is mind at the plate
He can’t focus on what he should do
What if he swings and misses?
He doesn’t even wear Number 2.
