Moments
It is the little moments
That live forever.
Much like my birthday gift,
You had bought me a sweater.
Maybe it’s the fact that
I have loved you for five years,
Or maybe when I ripped my earrings out
Of your girlfriend’s ears.
When I smiled because
We were finally labeled.
When you made me so mad
I flipped your table.
The morning we laid out
To watch the sun come up,
Or when you thought it would be funny
To put soda in my coffee cup.
How about when I cried to you
About our friendship
Or when the word love
Would happily slip.
When we were in eighth grade
And losing you was my biggest fear,
Now I’m wishing you the worst
From way over here.
