Fear's Echo
She stood, endlessly tall,
With sharp pointed nose,
Midnight black hair, green eyes,
I heard her shriek,
An awful sounding screech,
Echoing tauntingly
Reverberating
Across the walls.
Then she slowly strode away,
Black-heeled shoes clicking
On the tile.
I felt
Hopeful,
Excited,
Powerful
To know she
Was gone.
