My heart is blind, that so it can love the soul that is too bright for the eyes to see.

She said she was fine

She told me so

She told me not to worry

So I didn’t.

She was ok

She never cried

She never lied

Well, she did but I hugged her and moved on.

She was smart

She was pretty

She was kind

There was nothing bad about her.

She was a fighter

She was a hero

She was my friend

But I saw that darkness and did nothing.

She was scared

She was hurt

She didn’t know how to fix it

But she didn’t want to bother anyone.

She hid it

She pretended

She tried to move on

But some scars are made too deep.

She leashed it

She thrashed it

She threw it into her pit

It was still too strong for one fighter.

But she said she was ok

She said she was fine

She told me not to worry

But maybe I should have.

Please don't turn away from people because you think you can't help them, or because you think someone else will help them. More importantly, don't turn away from someone because they tell you to, because they say they're ok. No matter who you are, no matter how much help you think you can or can't give, never turn away. Never think nothing's wrong, because that's the thing that makes everything wrong.
