Sticks and Stones
Sticks and stones,
may break my bones,
but words can kill me dead.
Letters formed,
into a knife,
that stab inside my head.
Stupid, Worthless, Ugly
B****, S***, F**
W****, Kill yourself, Hag
instead of broken bones,
I have a broken heart.
In this deadly script of life,
These words do play their part.
Dodging past the whispers,
warding off the stares,
deflecting looks so mean.
I try and try,
but always fail,
to avoid being seen.
a circle forms around me,
i am the center stage.
My eyes fill with tears,
While my heart fills with rage.
I abandon all ye hope,
for a savior,
for a friend.
Instead I imagine,
how much better it would be,
if it all would end.
so when the last bell rings,
I happily walk home,
i have no wish to stay.
I smile wide,
with the fantasy,
of ending it all today.
The words that were used to stab my mind,
take a new form of art.
And become the knife I use,
to stab away my heart.
