A life lived
Cold as ice
I squelch in my dark room, room dark as night.
No light. none of any sort
I squelch silent, pondering, thinking about life.
Life is so short, and brief. We live in days that seem so slow.
But once you lose a Loved one you then know.
That days may seem long and years do too.
But. a life lived long is short when its threw.

The author's comments:
“A life loved” by Logan is a poem about a person sitting and thinking on how life is lived in long years and days but in all actuality they’re short. Pickett uses metaphors to give the reader a visual of how she feels and her surroundings. Logan’s poem also has a rhythm to it if read correctly. She uses punctuation to slow the reader down and speed them up at times which helps the rhythm of the poem and the reader get a better understanding.
