I Saw the World in My Dreams
I made a crystal ball
Filled with the amazing wonder
That I gave.
The white hair
That raised from me
Showed years of past faded.
The joy I felt
Cleansed me dry
Of dreadful misery.
It showed the greenish-brown
Of sparkle that came from a tear
From joy.
It seemed, my greatest catalyst
To the utopia forward
That I would never feel.
And I loved this world.
I would always love it.
It was perfect to me.
When my focus turned to this ball
My face forlorn to sight beheld
Of the terror created.
The red that came in the clear
Poured like wine
And dripped my soul.
O! How I failed again
To make the world
I saw in my dreams.
