Speak openly , as I was told
Think Clearly, as I was told
For each thought that pierces
the mind will eventually flow out
like the Nile river before it was touched
by humanity, or free as bison who roamed
the plains with no worry.

Here I stand, as fear rains down.
every word freezes at the tip of my
tongue. Afraid and too timid to shield
away the fear.
Here I stand, the umbrella-less child.

The author's comments:
In this poem the author creates a great amount of vivid imagery for the audience to grasp.
During the end of the poem he paints a picture that fear can hound a person to the point where
he or she can protect themselves and causes them to go into a mental shell.
