As she sat on the wooden park bench
She perused through her 6 inch long 3 inch wide book her skirt flowed
In the wind smiling. Her legs felt relieved
And anxious to experience the freedom they had so longed
For. But they knew this joy would soon be a memory.
A memory of serenity. But still just a memory

The author's comments:
The author starts off by describing a woman who is sitting in the park on a wooden bench. She is casually reading but a part of her feels joy. The author describes the skirt to be smiling because she doesn’t do it often. It’s rare, but they don’t get too tied into their happiness because they know it won’t last. They don’t want to get disappointed. In describing the skirt and her legs with feelings, she uses personification.
