House of Cards

Life is like a house of cards,
As your build yourself up,
A little at a time,
You’ll find yourself up so high.
When you reach your highest point,
You find yourself most vulnerable,
Tipped with just the slightest mistake,
Collapsing to the ground with pain,
You’ll fall quite flustered,
But only for a moment,
As you pick yourself up,
Dust off your shoulder,
Take a deep breath,
And begin anew,
Piece by piece,
Card by card,
A single step at a time,
You’ll build your house of cards.
