Individually Banded
America the brave they say;
Land of the free they say;
But what they are really saying is do it the right way.
It’s not okay to be different;
You need to be just like everybody else,
It’s wrong to be different, never be yourself.
However, what if we were all the same?
Wouldn’t it be lame?
What makes life so interesting is the people
It makes our life go round.
So, why do we stomp peoples’ personas to the ground?
Is it stubbornness; or is it fear?
Why must we degrade our peers?
Let them be who they are, it’s the least you could do;
Because their personality does not affect you!
As brothers and sisters banded forever,
We must learn we must learn to coexist together!
We shouldn’t judge, we don’t know what they’ve been through;
Never judge a person without walking in their shoes!
Besides, who are you to be so rude?
I’m sure we all have insecurities too.
We are all individuals, not one the same.
But if you choose to dislike them, you’re the one to blame!
America the Brave, land of the free
Until you be yourself, for the world to see.
