Welcome to the New Era
I am a fighter
I am representation
Representation for my rights
For my people
Segregated
Beaten
And killed
All because my skin color is not the same as the white man
I do not get the same treatman
Nor the same education
I don’t even get to sit where I want
But I am change
I will not give up my seat to the white man
Nor will I move because my skin color is different
I want change
And this is how it will begin
Welcome to the new era
The era where blacks and whites can drink the same water
Where we can sit wherever
Goodbye segregation
You’re not welcome anymore
The new era has begun
