I won't let you win.
I won't let you see.
All the pain.
You have caused me.
Yes I am sad.
And yes I do hurt.
But I have known pains much much worse.
How do I grieve.
How do I have sorrow.
When the person I've lost, I only knew a short while.
Eventually you left, And you kept leaving.
You said you'd come back.
And I kept on believing.
I was so foolish
I should've been smart
I should've realized
You never finish what you start.
I knew your smile.
But I never your heart.
I knew your laugh.
And that's as close as I got.
It was your choice.
Not mine.
You chose to walk out of my life.
And this time daddy.
I'm afraid it's goodbye.

I got the inspiration for this piece from my own personal experience with my father. He was in and out of my life and I never really got to know him. It just seemed like he didn't care. I hope people understand the message which is, you can only give someone a certain amount of chances before you have to decide they hurt you enough and you make the decision to tell them you've had enough . And tell them goodbye.
