Death is Prominent
Death is like an hourglass, waiting in the shadows.
Skeletons in the closet that act like puppeteers
With all all the things that they know
That fill my heart with fear.
Walking with the scary things, the bloody, and the mangled,
On either side they follow me, stab me from behind.
Whisp’ring that they know me, that they know why I am swaying
That my heart will never ever be what saves me from my mind.
And I! am all but worthless,
My lover’s eyes are blank.
The whispers are a scream
And my head is filled with hate.
Nightmares ‘round me roll.
Clouds kill off the moon.
My body has no soul.
Will Death take me soon?
