Growing Up

December 7, 2013
By Anonymous

The home that she once knew grows cold/
it smolders in the flames of relentless love
Disposing of their duties as-
Lovers
Partners
Memories of happy times become ill-fated tragedies
No death
No poison
No stab wounds that needed mending
But a torn girl-
A daughter with no life meaning
She wished only to be unborn
The abuse
The lies
Scars that will never heal
She only wants her mother a bond with hope
But she suffers in sulfur scented rooms with "oregano" to cope
Vodka and Jäger her partners in crime/
Her only way to sleep
An adult with a future/
A brighter tomorrow
With new found romance blossoming like a rose
