Don't Forget Who Was There For You When No One Else Was

Parents grow up,

They grow old too,

Doing the things,

That we can’t do.

They used to be fun,

Running all around,

Being there for us,

When we fall on the ground.

Now don’t get me wrong,

They’ll always be there,

Waiting for us,

Because they care.

Grown ups are strong,

And they’re big and they’re brave,

But they are no fun,

When they are too tired to play.

There’s yes and there’s NO’s,

There’s I-Told-You-So’s,

“Why?” I might ask.

“Because I said so!”

Grown ups are fun,

when their young and at play,

but when grown ups grow up,

most fun goes away.
