Mother holds
a brand new blouse
As if she holds
twilight in her hands

As twilight sets across the sky
Mother folds the blanket
As father holds
my precious little hand

Finally out from under mothers prying eye
our hands fold together intertwining,
watch the twilight set as cross the sky
