Favorite Quote:
“A room without books is like a body without a soul.”

Beyond the barricade they were thrown
No name, No dignity; unknown
My heart drowns for every pain they scream
Frowning as the picture beyond grows dim.

The images so long I've remembered
I felt pity on them; muddy faces, clothes were tattered
Extending their arms, I couldn't reach
Bodies were wounded; bludgeoned with stitch.

Realizing how really fortunate I am
Having these worldly things; luxurious like a rum
But what keeps on bothering in this innocent young mind,
Are these filthy poor fellows which justice they find?

They have their wings, yet hopeless to try
Stretching my arms, inspires them to fly
I'm a mysterious man; sacrificing to give
To help, to spread love; a blissful life to live.

This poem is a tribute to my brothers and sisters who experienced the wrath of Super Typhoon Haiyan who devastated The Pearl of the Orient Seas, the Philippines, my country.
